This photo is of the Mother and Father, Alvina and Joseph Beauchamp with their six children Frank, Harvey, Jule, Richard, Evelyn and Chester. We would like some details on the date and occasion of this photo and of all the family.

As written in a Memorial Book by Frank's wife Cecilia:

Frank J. Beauchamp
1912-1977

Born May 13, 1912 to Alvina and Joseph Beauchamp, born in Escanaba, Mi., the eldest of six children. In 1920, his family moved to Kingsford, Mi., where he was raised with his four brothers and one sister.

In January 1930, he met Cecilia La Rue and they married on September 19th, 1931. On July 21st, 1932 their first child, Frank Jr., was born. On February 8th, 1934, Cecile was born, but expired a few hours later. On february 11th, 1935, Richard L was born.

In December 1935, the family moved to Detroit. On September 9th, 1936, a baby boy was still-born. On September 3rd, 1938, Duwayne L. was born. In May, 1942, they moved to Plainview on the west-side of Detroit. On May 28th, 1942, Betty Lou was born. On August 8th, 1945, Karen Ann was born. On March 1st, 1948, Cathy Mae was born. On August 30th, 1949, David Leonard was born.


In March 1958, the family moved to Taylor, Mi. In August 1969, [Frank] retired from Laurie Wholesale Meat. He started to work for Selastomer, which was lighter work. He suffered his heart attack on May 13th, 1971, and he was forced to retire. After his recooperation, they began to travel. Their winters were spent in California at the Fountain of Youth and summers in Taylor. Later their summers were spent at the cottage in [Leyton], Mi where he expired September 8th, 1977 of a heart attack, and laid to rest September 12th, 1977 at Cadillac Memorial Gardens, Westland, Mi."
